In a shocking display of callousness, a woman was caught on video stealing money from a young child and then assaulting the child's mother in a grocery store in the Bronx, New York. The incident, which occurred on September 24th, has sparked outrage and a search for the suspect by the authorities.

The incident unfolded just before noon on September 24th at Richard's Fruit and Vegetables grocery store on Jerome Avenue. Security footage from inside the store shows a 7-year-old boy standing near the front counter, holding cash in his hand. A woman then enters the store, approaches the boy, and snatches the money from his hand before quickly leaving the premises.

The Assault

The surveillance cameras outside the store captured the aftermath of the incident. The boy's mother can be seen approaching the woman and reaching for the stolen money. However, the woman shoves the mother's hand away and then proceeds to hit her in the face before walking away.
